Mirrors

No great technical feat here. These mirrors (Rally Manufacturing, Inc. Miami, FL 33014, Rear View Safety Mirrors, no. 3526, purchased at Trak Auto, Vienna, VA), are intended for use inside a car to keep an eye on the kids in the backseat. Only mod is to cut the double-jointed stem so that all that remains is the base and the ball that fits into the mirror's socket. Take the double-sided tape off the base, drill a hole so that you can attach the ball to the base with a short screw, attach the ball, replace the tape on the base, and you're done. I wouldn't drive the bike again without these - that's how critical I think they are. Conversely, they alone cannot substitute for the stock mirrors. They are perfect for seeing from the corner of your eye to about 20 feet behind the bike, but no further. home
