Sent the stock seat away to Sargent (904) 354-4531 for a "redo" of the rider's portion only. Foam had become deformed after around 18,000 miles of riding. Requested they widen the seat by the maximum allowed (1" each side), dish it - meaning flatten it and remove the "rise" that causes you to slide forward under hard braking, and replace the stock foam with their "Super Cell" closed-cell foam. Requested "Diamond Plate" as the textured covering, and spent the $10 to have Dolphin Blue added. Total cost was $247.39, plus the $11 I spent to ship the seat to them.
The picture on the right shows the improvement in width and "flatness" of the seat. Comfort should improve immensely.
